Windows update installation fails regardless of whether I use the settings dialog, wusa update.msu /log, or dism /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:update.cabĬBS.log consistently gives messages like:
dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase.dism /online /Cleanup-Image /SPSuperseded.dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup.I have tried the following to no avail, none of these produced any change or interesting error message: Windows Update still installs component updates like KB2993939, but Windows update packages all fail. On my Windows 10 21H1 19043.1052 machine, updates have consistently failed since KB5004237. Hi, I have looked extensively for an answer, and while there are related issues posted and solved here, none of the existing answers fixed my problem.
